Born 1950, medical doctor to make a living and to finance certain hobbies. Flying since 1982, on and off.

Really passionate about travelling through air since our first visit in Alaska and after getting in touch with some of the old pioneers up there. Tom Kushida, an A&P who helped us prepare our own plane, Al Wright who told countless breathtaking stories about flying up North when it was reeeally wild and Frank Warren, who still sits on his yellow metal caring for his broken back.

And naturally "my bush pilot" Michael Vivion, who instructed son and father in behaving properly in bush-country and on Alaskan waters. And there is Don Ross, the bush-pilot that helped us discover the beauty of THE NORTH.

There are other hobbies - playing the flute, running marathons.

Up to now (April 05) 1800 hrs have been spent without ground under the feet. SEP-rated, IFR, seaplane.

This picture shows little Mohammed being taught how to use an antiasthmatic turbuhaler.

the beloved wife, born 1942 but still wild. We made our SEP-licence in the early 80s together. Somehow flying's in the genes. Her father visited his girl-friend in the early 1900s in his own airplane and crashed it because of a broken bolt (no, he wasn't drunk). Medical doctor as well, she helps financing the hobbies. Retired from active flying because her 2 men increasingly are fighting for the yoke.

She is a highly gifted navigator of old style (finger on map) and produces most of the good ideas about new destinations.

She is working as a medical doctor but the real passion is the garden of roses

Between her roses she developed the idea about doing a tour around the world. Thereby sending me into the cellar for months (our aviators room).

Although academic she knows cooking!

Here we see her in Ghadames Old city, admiring the court of a mosque.

First of 1 son. Born 1984. Poor son had to go with his parents since pamper age. So flying sort of became a normal way of looking on to the world. Did his SEP-licence a few weeks after turning 17 years. I'm happy he discovered diving as a new sport, so we do not interfere too much on who is going to get the plane.

He just finished high-school and is now preparing for university (medicin or biochemistry) by doing his IFR-training.

After our return from the worldtour end of August 2003 we discovered our family has expanded. Martina is the name.
In January 2004 the juniors joined the seniors for a great "Juristenball in der Wiener Hofburg". For the first time Konstantin and Martina had to exchange their blue jeans and gym-shoes for long gown and tail-coat.

our home

We are living in Switzerland. No its not Europe, its Switzerland. The Swiss do not want to belong to Europe, because they are afraid all these foreigners could steal the Alps.

Our home town is Zug. It's very famous for the very low taxes. So a lot of rich people live here. We wonder why we are living here.

The countryside is beautiful, hills and cows, romantic mountain-restaurants, green meadows, rivers, a lake - even a small airfield in a protected nature area. So we also wonder, why we always want to leave this place for the rest of the world.

It often rains - I dont mind, when the colours are beautiful.
